Rocky Knoll Health Care Center has 6 dining areas throughout the facility which are conveniently located nearby to resident rooms. We incorporate a table side service model at meal times. A compact steam table cart is maneuvered around the dining room to each resident table where foods can be viewed and aromas can be captured by the residents to help stimulate appetite contributing to an overall improved intake. Good nutritional intake is crucial for the healing and nutritional maintenance of our rehab and long-term residents. This method of dining also stimulates increased resident and staff interactions therefore enhancing the dining experience by allowing for greater customer service. Our menus are designed as a 4-week cycle menu. The menus are rotated according to the season: Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer. Two entrée choices are provided at meals to allow for greater variety. Rocky Knoll holds true to the local tradition and favorite, the infamous Friday Fish Fry. The fish fry is served at our noon meal and is often noted as “Catch of the Day” to allow for variety based on market availability and resident favorites. Monthly Food Committee meetings are held with the residents to discuss the satisfaction of the menus and service provided to residents at meal times. These meetings are a great time for residents to share their ideas of what they would like to see on the menu based on personal favorites and offer ideas for special meals such as holidays and cook-outs. We strive to make holidays for our residents extra special by serving a heart-warming traditional holiday meal. Resident’s loved ones are welcome to dine with us on holidays as well. We do require the cooperation of guests to provide us with advanced notice of plan to attend the holiday meal. Reservations are required to be made through the receptionist in advance. The cut-off for reservations is set several days ahead of the actual holiday to allow for adequate time to prepare. Please contact the receptionist for reservation cut-off dates. Meal prices for holidays are increased on certain holidays. Please see below.

Guests wanting to purchase any meal items prepared by the kitchen must purchase a meal ticket in advance through the business office prior to the meal. We ask that meal tickets be purchased 24-hr in advance and communicated to the Dietary Department at the time of purchase so the appropriate accommodations and food preparation can be made for guests.
The Rocky Knoll Auxiliary has been gracious to provide the facility with a beautiful Outdoor Bistro area. This area includes a large gas grill which the facility utilizes several times during the warmer Wisconsin months to incorporate in the menus the much desired cook-outs that many of our residents long for.
