CDBG Program Assists Landowners for Necessary Home Improvements
In 2013, the Brown County Planning Department began administering the State of Wisconsin Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Housing program for the northeastern Wisconsin region. This area includes all of Sheboygan County, except for the City of Sheboygan (the City has its own program; please visit the website of the Department of Planning & Development for more information).
The CDBG program is meant to assist low- to moderate-income households by providing zero percent, deferred interest loans for home rehabilitation projects. These projects can include private septic system replacement, roof replacement, lead pain remediation, or plumbing repairs, among others.
